I thought &#8220;hey, that&#8217;s funny, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/2008\/11\/rockettes-subway-metrocard-deal\/\">I was there<\/a> too and <a href=\"http:\/\/railfanwindow.com\/gallery2\/v\/TempByDate\/2008-11-13\/\">I took some very similar photos<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So I looked closer at this user&#8217;s photostream and saw that all of the photos had to do with either <a href=\"http:\/\/mta.info\/metrocard\/tourism\/mc_promotions.htm\">MetroCard promotions<\/a> or popular tourist sites that <a href=\"http:\/\/mta.info\/nyct\/index.html\">New York City Transit<\/a> can bring you to. This <em>had<\/em> to be something official.<\/p>\n<p>Final confirmation came when I clicked on the user&#8217;s Profile and read this:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>New York City Transit&#8217;s official Flickr account informs viewers of MetroCard Deals, special events, and points of interest to be found while traveling on its subways and buses. Visit us at <a href=\"http:\/\/mta.info\/\">www.mta.info<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So the New York City subway has gone social! It&#8217;s part of Web 2.0!
