And while that includes the number 7 subway to Citi Field, the B, D, and 4 subway lines to the new Yankee Stadium, and a few bus lines no one has ever heard of, <strong><em>does it also include historic nostalgia subway trains from the New York Transit Museum collection?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, they&#8217;ve done it before &#8211; they ran the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/gallery2\/v\/TempByDate\/2008-05-01\/DSC_1853.jpg.html\">Train of Many Colors<\/a> (aka the SMEEs) to both the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/gallery2\/v\/TempByDate\/2008-04-08\/DSC_1332.jpg.html\">final METS opening day<\/a> and the final METS game at Shea Stadium last year, and they ran the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/gallery2\/v\/TempByDate\/album180\/P1000774.jpg.html\">Lo-V train<\/a> to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/gallery2\/v\/TempByDate\/2008-09-21\/DSC_6335f.jpg.html\">final YANKEES game<\/a> at the old Yankee Stadium last year.<\/p>\n<p>And now NYCT is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mta.info\/nyct\/service\/events\/MetsYankees.htm\">advertising the opening days<\/a> at brand new Citi Field and the new Yankee Stadium as a &#8220;Special Event&#8221; (click on the poster below).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/special-event-mets-yankees-opening-day-subway-service.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-440\" title=\"special-event-mets-yankees-opening-day-subway-service-435\" src=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/special-event-mets-yankees-opening-day-subway-service-435.png\" alt=\"special-event-mets-yankees-opening-day-subway-service-435\" width=\"435\" height=\"716\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/special-event-mets-yankees-opening-day-subway-service-435.png 435w, http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/special-event-mets-yankees-opening-day-subway-service-435-182x300.png 182w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 435px) 100vw, 435px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Seems like they are going all out.
