There is something of an irony here in this image. Chambers Street-WTC on the "E" train platform was the final stop for the Sunday, October 29, 1989 "Farewell to the R-10" fantrip, and the lead motor on the eight-car consist (#3018) was photographed here on this same track also. However, the car was signed up for "D-Brighton Beach", but when the train went back to 207th Street Yard, the front rollsign was changed to say "A-207th Street Manhattan".
