{"id":994,"date":"2009-10-27T11:09:31","date_gmt":"2009-10-27T15:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/?p=994"},"modified":"2009-10-27T11:11:03","modified_gmt":"2009-10-27T15:11:03","slug":"ride-subway-to-yankee-stadium-for-world-series","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/ride-subway-to-yankee-stadium-for-world-series\/","title":{"rendered":"Ride the subway to Yankee Stadium for the World Series"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As I have for both the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/take-the-subway-to-see-the-yankees-play-in-the-postseason\/\">ALDS<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/blog\/2009\/10\/take-subway-again-to-see-yankees-play-in-alcs\/\">ALCS<\/a>, now that the Yankees are in the World Series, I&#8217;m once again reminding you that MTA New York City Transit would like you to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mta.info\/nyct\/service\/events\/go_yanks.htm\">ride the subway to get to Yankee Stadium<\/a>. I took their advice and ended up riding a set of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.railfanwindow.com\/gallery2\/v\/TempByDate\/2009-10-07\/DSC_3558a_800.jpg.html\">vintage Lo-V subway cars from 1917<\/a> on the day of the first game of the ALDS. I wasn&#8217;t able to get up to the Stadium on the day of the  first game of the ALCS, but if I had, I also would have ridden the Lo-V subway cars.
