July 13 Nostaliga Train Route / GO

  1. Down the Crosstown and Culver
  2. Up the Sea Beach
  3. Down the West End
  4. Up the Brighton

Sunday, July 13, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Our Coney Island Nostalgia Train, consisting of vintage R1/9 cars, departs midtown Manhattan forNew York City’s famous resort. Visit the amusement park, take a dip in the ocean, and enjoy all the area has to offer, or stay on the train for an additional ride to Whitehall Street in Manhattan. The train will then proceed back to Coney Island.  At 4 p.m. the train leaves Coney Island, via the F line, to 42nd Street – our final destination.

This comes from Craigslist via Peter Rosa. Short version – some guy fingered some girl on the uptown (1) train but she didn’t get his full email address so now she wants to find him.

As expected, the bridge is up!

The empty barge returns to 207 St yard today

Sometime between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM today the Broadway Bridge will be raised twice, mostly likely to allow the empty barge to return and then the tugs to head back to the Hudson.
