I was at the New Meadowlands Stadium today, so I drove by the Meadowlands Rail Station to check on its progress. I’m not sure how to tell if it will be ready to open by this summer, so here are some photos for you to judge for yourself.

I dunno, looks grim from here. Then again, sometimes 90% of the job gets done in 20% of the time.

Yeah. I’m encouraged by Metro-North’s Yankee Stadium station. I know it’s not supposed to be done until after opening day, but it seems to be coming along quickly now.

Well at least your photos feature people working and not uninhabited lol.

Keep in mind that “open in summer” could be September 21th.

Hopefully it’ll be earlier, but corporations do that all the time with new products, saying “summer” knowing people will think June/July, but still making the deadline by “accepting pre-orders” September 15th and shipping October.

Rail service must begin by August 2009, as that’s when the Preseason starts, and the plan is to run rail service for all games, Preseason and Regular Season. But various sources have stated June 2009 to be the start of service, most likely for concerts or arena events. Will be good practice runs before the football season starts.
